There's a change in the wind

Poor Lylli didn't make the Swing Dance Team, but we are looking into other options for her as far as dance goes. So we will see where that takes her. Maybe she can do Cheer this year.
I'm heading out to a job interview in a few, not sure what will happen with that. I am excited at the thought of contributing financially for our home but sad because I don't wnat to miss out on being a mom and a wife. Prayers are gladly accepted on that subject!!

Sick and tired, literally...

This cold and Lucy's terrible sleep habits are taking their toll on me!! I can't wait for Luke to get home so I can take an uninterrupted shower.
Today consists of whiny non sleeping baby, last minute Christmas details being worked out, working on our monthly budget and paying bills and swing dance try outs for Lylli. I'm hoping the try outs go well, it is tough competition and I don't want Lylli too be hard on herself if she doesn't make the cut. Send her good swing dancing vibes!

A little joyful, a little bummed and a little hungry!

Today Lylli and Lucy both performed in our churches Christmas play! Lylli was Mary and Lucy was baby Jesus!
The play was... funny and no, it wasn't a comedy... lol but my girls were beautiful (as you can see)! And there is just something so special about little kiddo's voices singing Christmas songs.
I edited my second youtube "how to" video today on making your own laundry soap and I am so bummed because the video is skippy (no clue why) and my subtitles were cut off, so it's no good. It looks like I will have to do some more editing tomorrow to hopefully get it good enough to post.
HUNGRY! My chicken grilling master of a husband grilled us some chicken, I made a cheesy alfredo and broccoli to go with and you can't forget french bread! Be jealous. :)

Here comes the blogging train, and I am jumping on... Choo Choo!

I suppose I should start with a little bit about myself. I am 28, I am from Washington state but currently live in Nevada with my beautiful family which is made up of me, my husband who is the most wonderful man in the whole world (I am so lucky) and our 4 perfect children, Austin (11), Lylli (8), Cody (7) and Lucy (almost 3 months).

I've decided to start a blog and a vlog about things I have learned over the past year and a half, since I became a stay at home mom, that have helped us save money and cut costs as well as the adventures that are our every day lives! If you know our kids, you know how much adventure we have. haha
Yesterday Lylli and I made our first "how to" video on Youtube! Check it out here...

It's worth watching, if for no other reason just to see how Lylli loves being in the spotlight.

We had so much fun and we all had a good laugh at the bloopers, I loved them because that is so US. I am in the process of editing our second video that is another "how to" on making homemade laundry detergent. We are trying to figure out ways to make our videos available to a wider audience. Let us know if you have any ideas to help us with that.
Until next time...
